I thought it would be fun to work with an animator for a layout piece to test my teamwork skills and be involved in a collaboration. I liked Becky's Idea and she said i could do her background. She needed something simple, black and white but gave me artistic control over the picture. With a rough sketch of the animation I set to work, looking around furniture shops and taking photo's of couches that i thought were right for the gig. I have been experimenting with black sketchy inking and crosshatch shading. I didn't want to create to much of a light source in the shot because she would only have time for a pencily sketchy animation and want them to fit well together. plus i left the seat cushions on a different layer so they are fully animatable with different weight distributions from the character. I havn't seen the finished video yet. but hope it goes well. (SEE BLOG TITLE)
