Infidelica

Okay! This is the first Layout piece i started working on. It is the flat in which the protagonist in my short layout based story finds out his wife is there to plook another man. I wanted the colours to be chalky and undistinguished as the man needs to focus on the red room and have everything else unremarkable. The light spills from aforementioned room and meets with the light from the window to spotlight his wife's stilettos. I was listening to lots of minimalist music while creating this, which i think helped get into that mind set. I wanted the tenant to not have too many books, like he had just moved there, but i needed him to be an intimidating intellectual figure with art on his walls and a wealth of knowledge. but at the mo, the bookshelf just looks like a block, which fits in with the simplicity of the room, but the different colours detract from that and If i have time, i could remedy that.

Also I made this as a Block-out in Maya and rendered it out as to make sure the perspective was correct.
